Warrior Songs
From the distant past to the present time
Fighting a war or faceless crime
Steeling the heart and healing the soul
At the end of the watch or a long patrol
We lift up our Warrior Songs
Around the bivouac’s warm fire
Or huddled in sandstorm near a Humvee tire
Recounting acts of bravery without regret
Unspoken horrors we try to forget
We lift up our Warrior Songs
Come and sing with me my brothers
As our victorious company gathers
We have fought the valiant fight
We have sent evil screaming into the night
We lift up our Warrior Songs
Mourn with us those we have lost
Brave souls who paid the ultimate cost
Let us now celebrate their precious victory
Adding their names to the honor roll of history
We lift up our Warrior Songs
